Jayne Williams
Senior Advisor, Learning Improvement Service Cumberland Council
Jayne has taught in Cumbrian Primary Schools since 1997, ranging from a class teacher in a Catholic School, almost two decades as Assistant Head, Deputy Head and Acting Head in a large inner city Church of England school and for the past 7 years as Headteacher at an LA maintained school.
Jayne is now the Senior General Adviser for Learning Improvement at Cumberland Council. Jayne’s role and passion is to lead the School Improvement Offer to Cumberland Schools and ensure the statutory responsibilities for schools are met.
Jayne’s expertise lies in Special Educational Needs as a former SENDCO with a Masters Degree in SEND, Safeguarding and School Improvement at Leadership and Management level. As a Headteacher, Jayne actively participated in WELL and saw the positive impact this made on staff development and pupil outcomes.
