I am Yvonne Craig. I have been teaching for 33 years and a head teacher for 21 years. I am LASL WEST Chair and also a very proud born and bred West Cumbrian.
I am both honoured and privileged to have been part of the WELL initiative and Board since its inception and I am proud of all the WELL has achieved thus far.
Despite the huge restrictions and pressures of covid, schools have enthusiastically and tirelessly embraced the WELL initiative and have valued the researched based training on offer – vital training that would neither be offered nor affordable for schools without the WELL.
As we move forward, I see the WELL becoming part of the essential core of quality first teaching in West Cumbria by giving education staff extra tools to educate, inspire and equip West Cumbrian children for a life of quality, employability and secure physical and mental health.
