Matt Savidge, Head Teacher, Millom School
Matt has been Headteacher of Millom School since 2015 and has been a teacher for 27 years working in a variety of secondary schools across the country. Millom School is an 11-18 community school serving the town and the wider catchment area in south Copeland and he is on the board to represent schools in this part of the county. Matt was Chair of the Furness Education Consortium for 3 years and Vice Chair of the Cumbria Association of Secondary Headteachers for 2 years. He is honoured to have been on the WELL Board since the start of the Project and to be part of this project which is aiming to improve outcomes for young people in West Cumbria through research-led school improvement and quality first teaching.
